    ایک افسردہ شاہراہ ہے دراز
    دور افق پر نظر جمائے ہوئے
    سرد مٹی پہ اپنے سینے کے
    سرمگیں حسن کو بچھائے ہوئے

    جس طرح کوئی غمزدہ عورت
    اپنے ویراں کدے میں محوِ خیال
    وصلِ محبوب کے تصور میں
    موبموچور، عضو عضو نڈھال
