    بام و در خامشی کے بوجھ سے چور

    ​ایک منظر

    بام و در خامشی کے بوجھ سے چور
    آسمانوں سے جوئے درد رواں
    چاند کا دکھ بھرا فسانہء نور
    شاہراہوں کی خاک میں غلطاں
    خواب گاہوں میں نیم تاریکی
    مضمحل لے رباب ہستی کی
    ہلکے ہلکے سروں میں نوحہ کناں
